Wikidocumentaries is a wiki for small history
Wikidocumentaries is collaborative platform for citizen historians. It is based on the existing content in Wikimedia projects, and it will be complemented with small and lesser topics. Small places are eligible – capes and coves, paths and outhouses – and all related people ever lived or happenings they were involved in. The limit is the scope of the project, micro history, and respecting privacy. You cannot include content of a living person without their consent.
Aggregating content
Wikidocumentaries brings together data, articles, and medua from Wikimedia projects and ties it in with content from other open repositories.
Crowdsourcing everything
Geolocating images
Reading, recording, displaying, curating, and citing sources
Enriching image metadata
Open knowledge
All information recycled in Wikidocumentaries is openly licensed or Public Domain.
Osa avoimen tiedon ekosysteemiä
Osallistujien lisäämä tieto viedään osaksi Wikimedia-projektia soveltuvin osin ja se on kenen tahansa vapaasti hyödynnettävissä. The project further contributes the enriched data to open, primarily Wikimedia projects Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons.
