This page describes the design principles and different display formats of different data modules.
Contents
One-page
The content is based on topics that form one-page microsites, topic pages. A topic is an item in Wikidata, or a locally saved item in Wikidocumentaries. The content modules are constructed with the help of data stored in each topic item.
Modular
Page types
- Landing page
- Topic page
- User page: Individual or organisation
- Project page
- Module page (for each module)
- Tool page (for each tool)
Content modules
A page consists of content modules, such as images or newspaper articles.
Module formats
Modules can have several formats, depending on the context.
Tools
There will be tools to enrich and work with the content. Tools will be formatted to follow the Tool page layout
Separate web interface
The user interface will be created independent of the MediaWiki running it, and connected to the underlying Wikibase through an API. While waiting for the clarification of the technological components, the site will be produced as a bare bones wiki.
Responsive
The Wikidocumentaries site will be a responsive website.
