Organisations are users like individuals. Their page is integrated with the Wikidocumentaries page of the organisation.
Organisations take part in projects, and can take an expert role there. Organisations may have Q&A functionalities. They can write about their expertise. It would be desirable if they could patrol content within their expertise. Let's brainstorm!
Contents
Roles
- What roles are possible in MediaWiki?
- Administrator can add or accept representatives or followers. How to become an administrator? How to handle disputes and frauds?
Organisation-generated-content
An organisation account can claim a Wikidata item and add content to its page into separate sections.
Expertise
The organisation can define an area of expertise as a Wikidata shape expression. The organization's account will then be visible in and linked from all topics matching that expression.
Q&A
Visitors can post questions to topic pages that the museum has expertise in, and the museum professionals will answer them. Maybe anyone can take part in the discussion. Questions in topics that are claimed by an organisation will be displayed in the organisation page as well as the topic page. In case several organisations have claimed a topic, the discussion is displayed in all their pages.
Tasks
The museum professional can post tasks to topic pages or their own page directly, and anyone can participate in them. They can be questions, like "Do you have a personal story of this event?" or tasks such as "Which one of the people in these portraits is older?"
Contact details
It makes no sense in maintaining the contact details in Wikidocumentaries or even Wikidata. The data can be retrieved from somewhere (Wikidata + OSM + other??)
Content management tools
- Adding content (manage collection data in Wikidata)
- Upload media (batch upload to Wikimedia Commons)
- Patrol tools (Aggregated view, watchlists)
- Statistics from Wikimedia projects
Projects
- Organisation can participate in a project.
Dependencies
- User registration
- Use of local Wikibase
